A recent newcomer to Canada tries to jump-start her acting career while juggling motherhood, marriage, and the daily absurdities of adapting to a new country.

Production begins in February 2026 and Newish will air on Channel 1 on Bell Fibe in June 2026.

We are pleased that famed Ukrianian actress Anastasiia Ziurkalova has joined the cast as our star.

Writer/Director/Producer Anna Onofriienko, originally from Ukraine, has now relocated to Ottawa and is pleased to be working on this new 6-part series about adapting to life in Canada.

Co-producer Heidi Lasi is excited to be producing Newish, a comedic, slice-of-life production, licensed by Bell Fibe 1 set to air in June 2026.
