SGT. WINSTON WINDFLOWER mysteries
RCMP Sergeant Winston Windflower, a full-blooded Cree originally from northern Alberta, solves murder, mystery and mayhem in the charming and seemingly sleepy community of Grand Bank, Newfoundland.
When, in the first season, The Walker on the Cape, the body of 70-year-old Elias Martin is found on the cape overlooking Grand Bank, it is initially deemed a heart attack. But the local coroner, Dr. Sanjay Mehta, soon determines the widower and retired fisherman is a most unlikely victim of murder.
Sgt. Winston Windflower works with his team to uncover the few clues left at the scene of the crime and at his small home. But they're left with more questions than answers. Winston heads to the Mug Up, the local coffee shop and gossip mill, to see what he can find out. Tall, dark and handsome, he cuts quite a figure in the red serge, which has been noticed by beautiful Mug Up owner Sheila Hillier.
When a web of connections leads him down a few dead ends, then to a local kingpin, Winston must act fast - before another unlikely victim is left for dead on the Cape.
The following seasons continue the tradition of suspense and drama in the small town of Grand Bank, Newfoundland along with compelling character arcs of Winston, his trusty confidante Constable Eddie Tizzard, his bosses, the mayor, and many others in The Body on the T, Beneath the Surface, and A Twist of Fortune.
